Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Peach Blossoms and Peony by Huang Baowu was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. It achieved a price of HKD 11,970.00 (€ 1,377.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Huang Baowu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,772.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peach Blossoms and Peony von Huang Baowu wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 11.970,00 (€ 1.377,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Baowu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.772,06).
