This artwork by Hua Junwu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Self-Criticism Of A Poet sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,390.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hua Junwu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Frog In Well/Rats' Whispers sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,851.39).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hua Junwu erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Self-Criticism Of A Poet für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.390,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hua Junwu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Frog In Well/Rats' Whispers im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.851,39).
