Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hua Junwu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Caricature sold for HKD 25,960.00 (€ 3,000.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hua Junwu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frog In Well/Rats' Whispers, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,851.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hua Junwu erzielte im Mai 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Caricature für HKD 25.960,00 (€ 3.000,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hua Junwu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frog In Well/Rats' Whispers beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.851,39) versteigert wurde.
