Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings, which included the work Tiger by Hu Zaobin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,400.00 (€ 799.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Zaobin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tigers In The Bush in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,199.65).
