Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy by Hu Shi. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,916.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hu Shi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem In Running Script in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 203,000.00 (€ 160,753.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Hu Shi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.916,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Shi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 203.000,00 (€ 160.753,88).
