Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Calligraphy in Regular-Running Script by Hu Shi. The price achieved of HKD 31,875.00 (€ 3,362.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Shi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Running Script in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 203,000.00 (€ 160,753.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular-Running Script von Hu Shi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 31.875,00 (€ 3.362,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Shi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 203.000,00 (€ 160.753,88).
