Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hu Nianzu
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work A Sea Of Clouds by Hu Nianzu for HKD 141,000.00 (€ 20,100.30). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, A Sea Of Clouds is the most expensive artwork by Hu Nianzu that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Hu Nianzu
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Sea Of Clouds von Hu Nianzu für HKD 141.000,00 (€ 20.100,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist A Sea Of Clouds das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hu Nianzu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
