Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script by Hu Lancheng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,776.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hu Lancheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,303.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script von Hu Lancheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.776,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Lancheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.303,67).
