This artwork by Hu Hanmin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Poem In Xingshu sold for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 10,463.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hu Hanmin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet in Lishu, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,421.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Hanmin erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 10.463,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hu Hanmin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Lishu beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.421,77) versteigert wurde.
