Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work A. Disegno X; B. Disegno W; C. Disegno Q; D. Disegno V; E. Disegno B by Hsiao Ming-Hsien was worth HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,148.87) to a buyer in October 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Modern Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hsiao Ming-Hsien; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Abstraction sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,641.12).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hsiao Ming-Hsien; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Abstraction im Juli 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.641,12).
