Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paisaje Interior 46 (Interior Landscape 46) by Hsiao Chin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 35,200.00 (€ 4,140.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiao Chin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue in April this year with an auction result of HKD 372,000.00 (€ 379,884.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paisaje Interior 46 (Interior Landscape 46) von Hsiao Chin im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 35.200,00 (€ 4.140,60) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiao Chin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 372.000,00 (€ 379.884,78).
