Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ready to ship by Howard Post was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,724.25). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Howard Post - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waterhole Below the Buttes, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,184.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ready to ship von Howard Post kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.724,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Howard Post mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waterhole Below the Buttes beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.184,32) versteigert wurde.
