Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Studio Art, which included the work Organ, Wells Cathedral, England by Howard Bond. The »bidding war« ended at USD 242.25 (€ 226.44), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Howard Bond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Tetons and Snake River, Wyoming., which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Studio Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Organ, Wells Cathedral, England von Howard Bond zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 242,25 (€ 226,44) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Howard Bond mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Tetons and Snake River, Wyoming. beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 500,00 versteigert wurde.
