The work Nude gathering water by Hosni Banani was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,683.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hosni Banani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La danse in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 51,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nude gathering water von Hosni Banani kam im Januar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.683,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hosni Banani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La danse im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.400,00.
