Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online, which included the work Fatimid, Cairo by Hosni Banani. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,788.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hosni Banani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La danse in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 51,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fatimid, Cairo von Hosni Banani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.788,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hosni Banani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La danse im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.400,00.
