Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work The Royal Mail Line To New York by Horace Taylor. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,094.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horace Taylor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brightest London in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,463.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Royal Mail Line To New York von Horace Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.094,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horace Taylor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brightest London im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.463,08).
