A top price for Hoon Kwak - as previously expected
In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Tea Bowls, 2003 by Hoon Kwak. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,808.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tea Bowls, 2003 is the most expensive artwork by Hoon Kwak that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tea Bowls, 2003 von Hoon Kwak zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 20.808,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Tea Bowls, 2003 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hoon Kwak, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
