Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Landscapes After Song Masters by Hong Ren was worth GBP 43,700.00 (€ 61,191.31) to a buyer in November 2007. This price was achieved in the auction The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Ren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape along the River, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 1,927,500.00 (€ 168,498.77).

Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Ren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape along the River beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 1.927.500,00 (€ 168.498,77) versteigert wurde.
