Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hong Ren
This work of art by Hong Ren could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape along the River changed hands for HKD 1,927,500.00 (€ 168,498.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Landscape along the River is the most expensive artwork by Hong Ren that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Hong Ren
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Ren konnte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Landscape along the River für HKD 1.927.500,00 (€ 168.498,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 2.500.000,00.
