Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Homi Patel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction, the work without title sold for GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,114.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Homi Patel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cosmic Fantasy sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,790.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Homi Patel erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.114,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Homi Patel; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cosmic Fantasy im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.790,59).
