Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Two dromedaries resting in the sun, in the background elephants by Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau for DKK 3,800.00 (€ 509.78). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Pompeii towards Mount Vesuvius with an artist by the easel in the foreground in March this year with an auction result of DKK 65,000.00 (€ 8,722.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two dromedaries resting in the sun, in the background elephants von Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau für DKK 3.800,00 (€ 509,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Pompeii towards Mount Vesuvius with an artist by the easel in the foreground im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 65.000,00 (€ 8.722,87).
