Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Senza titolo by Ho Kan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 9,450.00 (€ 1,070.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ho Kan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49).
