Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Silence by Hideaki Kawashima. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,733.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hideaki Kawashima - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grumble, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 58,600.00 (€ 39,896.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Silence von Hideaki Kawashima zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.733,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hideaki Kawashima mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grumble beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 58.600,00 (€ 39.896,51) versteigert wurde.
