Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Presenting the brush; and Setting out (a pair) by Heywood Hardy for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,128.88). This price was achieved in the auction European Fine Living at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heywood Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drawing Covert in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 140,348.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Presenting the brush; and Setting out (a pair) von Heywood Hardy für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.128,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Fine Living bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Heywood Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drawing Covert im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 140.348,60).
