This artwork by Hew Locke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2021. In the This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection auction, the work The Age of Chivalry, 2005 sold for GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,345.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Admittedly, works by Hew Locke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (i) Red Princess (ii) Sovereign 7 in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,332.12).

In der Auktion This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection wurde die Arbeit The Age of Chivalry, 2005 für GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.345,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hew Locke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit (i) Red Princess (ii) Sovereign 7 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.332,12).
