Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Secret Hideout of the Flamingo Gang (Abandoned Paddle Boats) by Hernan Bas was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 4,410,000.00 (€ 528,587.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hernan Bas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bats and the Barn Bridge, which sold at auction in November last year for HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,396,033.13).

Die Arbeit Secret Hideout of the Flamingo Gang (Abandoned Paddle Boats) von Hernan Bas kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 4.410.000,00 (€ 528.587,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hernan Bas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bats and the Barn Bridge beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.396.033,13) versteigert wurde.
