This artwork by Hermann Fuechsel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Americana Morning Ride Along The Hudson River sold for USD 52,000.00 (€ 35,403.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hermann Fuechsel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View in the Adirondacks sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
