The work American A Morning Ride Along The Hudson River by Hermann Fuechsel was sold in the The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,266.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hermann Fuechsel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View in the Adirondacks in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
