Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The Anticipated Musician by Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pay Day, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 38,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Anticipated Musician von Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pay Day beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 38.650,00 versteigert wurde.
