It achieved a price of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,732.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Jazz Studies in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,165.63).

Die Arbeit Dexter Gordon, Royal Roost, New York von Herman Leonard kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.732,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Leonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Jazz Studies im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.165,63).
