Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Charlie Parker with the Metronome All-Stars, New York City by Herman Leonard was sold in the Classic & Contemporary Photographs auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,039.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Jazz Studies in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,165.63).
