Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled - a room divider by Herman Gordijn was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Herman Gordijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urinoir II - Ochtendzon in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 31,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled - a room divider von Herman Gordijn kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Gordijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urinoir II - Ochtendzon im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.000,00.
