Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Lotto Di Due Opere: by Herman de Vries was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman de Vries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Random Objectiviation. "V 70 - 25 B" in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 182,120.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Lotto Di Due Opere: von Herman de Vries im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.125,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman de Vries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Random Objectiviation. "V 70 - 25 B" im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 182.120,55).
