Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Congo Type by Herbert Ward was sold in the Travel & Exploration Sale auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,469.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Charm Doctor Dancing in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,132.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Congo Type von Herbert Ward wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Travel & Exploration Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.469,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Charm Doctor Dancing im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.132,50).
