Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Herbert Matter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Classic & Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Untitled (Photogram) sold for USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,695.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herbert Matter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work PKZ, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,693.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Herbert Matter erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Photogram) für USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.695,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Herbert Matter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit PKZ beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.693,66) versteigert wurde.
