Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study For The Kelpie by Herbert James Draper was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,017.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert James Draper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mountain Mists in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,010,000.00 (€ 1,739,958.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study For The Kelpie von Herbert James Draper kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.017,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert James Draper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mountain Mists im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.010.000,00 (€ 1.739.958,45).
