Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studies For The Singing Priestess In Song by Herbert James Draper was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,827.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert James Draper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mountain Mists in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,010,000.00 (€ 1,739,958.45).
