In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Bacchante, Study For The Vintage Morn by Herbert James Draper. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,632.08), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert James Draper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mountain Mists in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,010,000.00 (€ 1,739,958.45).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bacchante, Study For The Vintage Morn von Herbert James Draper zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.632,08) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert James Draper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mountain Mists im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.010.000,00 (€ 1.739.958,45).
