Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Rachel Holding Sphere, Hollywood, 1989 by Herb Ritts. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,925.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herb Ritts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 220,377.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rachel Holding Sphere, Hollywood, 1989 von Herb Ritts zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.925,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herb Ritts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 220.377,57).
