The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,466.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Herb Davidson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work Portrait of Hugh Hefner was auctioned for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,521.82).
