Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work A moorland pasture by Henry William Banks Davis. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,862.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry William Banks Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Spring Morning in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 56,139.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A moorland pasture von Henry William Banks Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.862,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry William Banks Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Spring Morning im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 56.139,25).
