Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work A Flood On The Wye, Subsiding by Henry William Banks Davis. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,158.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry William Banks Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Spring Morning in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 56,139.25).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.158,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
