In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Bruges, Brussels; And Louvain, Belgium by Henry Thomas Schäfer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,234.70), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Schäfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banquet in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68).

Im November 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home - British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bruges, Brussels; And Louvain, Belgium von Henry Thomas Schäfer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.234,70) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Thomas Schäfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Banquet im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68).
