Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Nuremburg, Bavaria by Henry Thomas Schäfer for GBP 262.90 (€ 389.10). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Schäfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banquet in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nuremburg, Bavaria von Henry Thomas Schäfer für GBP 262,90 (€ 389,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Thomas Schäfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Banquet im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68).
