Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Thomas Schäfer could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat auction, the work Continental town scene; and Figures before a cathedral changed hands for GBP 525.00 (€ 589.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Schäfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banquet in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Thomas Schäfer konnte im Januar 2011 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat wechselte die Arbeit Continental town scene; and Figures before a cathedral für GBP 525,00 (€ 589,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Thomas Schäfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Banquet im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68).
