Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Waiting for his return by Henry Stacy Marks for GBP 375.00 (€ 502.70). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Stacy Marks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bookworm in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 44,650.00 (€ 70,775.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Waiting for his return von Henry Stacy Marks für GBP 375,00 (€ 502,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Stacy Marks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bookworm im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.650,00 (€ 70.775,75).
