Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work Pink cockatoo by Henry Stacy Marks. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,804.69), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Stacy Marks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bookworm in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 44,650.00 (€ 70,775.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink cockatoo von Henry Stacy Marks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.804,69) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Stacy Marks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bookworm im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.650,00 (€ 70.775,75).
