This artwork by Henry Ryland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2015. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work 'Vanity' sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,962.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Ryland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The guarded flame, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 63,000.00 (€ 75,233.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Ryland erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit 'Vanity' für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.962,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Ryland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The guarded flame beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 63.000,00 (€ 75.233,19) versteigert wurde.
