Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Rooftops by Henry Mundy for GBP 293.75 (€ 450.92). This price was achieved in the auction British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Henry Mundy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,723.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rooftops von Henry Mundy für GBP 293,75 (€ 450,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Mundy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.723,29).
