Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Brown Trout On A River Bank by Henry Leonidas Rolfe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,016.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Henry Leonidas Rolfe have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2010 the work The Catch was auctioned for USD 10,937.00 (€ 8,898.38).

Im November 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brown Trout On A River Bank von Henry Leonidas Rolfe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.016,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Leonidas Rolfe konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2010 die Arbeit The Catch für USD 10.937,00 (€ 8.898,38) versteigert.
